December 2025 — BriPower‘s custom-developed ESD Series High-Power Programmable DC Charging Power Supply (Model: ESD 1.8M-6000-300/10400)

has officially been dispatched from the factory. This system is being delivered to a client for use in critical performance testing of power modules for HVDC

(High Voltage Direct Current) converter.

This specific model is engineered to meet the stringent testing requirements of core components in Ultra-High Voltage DC transmission.

Utilizing advanced PWM technology and IGBT switching schemes, the system is built on a dual DSP + FPGA control architecture, providing

exceptional computational processing power and control precision. It features a rated output power of 1.8MW, with a continuously adjustable

output across a wide voltage range of 0–6000V and a maximum current of 300A.

Core Technical Advantages:

  • High-Voltage & High-Power Output:

Composed of eight high-performance power modules connected in series, the system supports Constant Voltage (CV),

Constant Current (CC), and Constant Power (CP) modes to satisfy the diverse testing needs of converter valve modules.

  • High-Speed Sampling and Visualization:

With a sampling rate of 10k/s, the system can capture, display, and store voltage and current waveforms in real-time, providing

precise historical data support for test analysis.

  • Ultimate Reliability Assurance:

The entire system utilizes fiber-optic communication to completely isolate electromagnetic interference. It is equipped with 4th

generation Infineon IGBTs from Germany and long-life pulse film capacitors, ensuring long-term stable operation in high-temperature

    and high-voltage environments.

  • Comprehensive Safety Protection:

The system integrates high-voltage vacuum contactors and customized discharge resistors, ensuring the safe discharge of residual

energy from the Device Under Test (a 27mF capacitor) within 10 minutes. Additionally, it supports infrared interlocking devices to

provide all-around protection for both personnel and equipment.

The successful delivery of this 1.8MW charging power supply once again demonstrates BriPower’s profound expertise in high-power

power electronics testing and our capabilities in non-standard customization. We remain committed to contributing to the construction

of the global energy internet and the development of VSC-HVDC (Voltage Source Converter HVDC) technology through innovative power solutions.
